Pineapple Cheese Dip – The EASY Way!
This cream cheese and pineapple dip is a recipe that I mastered when I was newly married. Though “mastered” may be a bit of an overstatement. There isn’t really much to learn. You just combine four ingredients in a bowl, mix them using a spatula or electric mixer, and then enjoy!
We used to prepare this recipe all the time. Not only because it’s so quick and simple, but also because it’s so incredibly tasty. We have the richness of the cheese, the tropical, tangy sweetness of the pineapple, the fresh kick of the spring onion, and the nutty crunch from the almonds.
It’s a no bake appetizer recipe that’s ready in less than 10 minutes, perfect for a poolside gathering or a potluck.

- Minimal ingredients. Just four really straightforward ingredients are needed for this delectable dip.

What to Pair with Creamy Pineapple Cheese Dip
Since this dish complements many of your favored dipping snacks. There are classic options and some healthy choices to keep it light.

- Biscuits – You can choose any of your preferred biscuits. My preference is wheat thins, however you could also use Ritz, saltines, club biscuits, pretzels, anything you like.
- Chips – Indulge with pita chips, tortilla chips, or even firm potato chips.
- Fruits and Vegetables – Opt for the savory route with sliced celery, bell pepper, cucumber, broccoli, or carrots OR opt for sweetness with grapes or apple slices.
- Bread – Serve it alongside slices of robust baguettes, French bread, or spread it on a slice of toast or a bagel.
You can opt for one or add a couple of sides to create a well-rounded snack platter.Â
Cooking Notes
This pineapple cheese and cream dip recipe is as uncomplicated as promised! Just 10 minutes to create a dish that pleases everyone.
In this part, I’m going to cover various tips and techniques I use to prepare Pineapple Cheese Dip to achieve the most delicious results.
Be sure to scroll to the end for the FULL recipe card.
Ingredients + Replacements
- Cream Cheese – You’ll require a block of softened full-fat cream cheese for this recipe.
- Pineapple – One tin of crushed pineapple does the trick. The crushed pineapple is critical so it incorporates well into the dip.
- Spring Onions – Finely sliced so you get a bit in every bite. You can use 3-5 spring onions depending on the size. If you can’t find spring onions, chive will work as well.
- Almonds – I use sliced almonds, as they are easier for me to find at the grocery store. You can also use slivered almond if preferred.

Culinary Pointers
- Use full-fat cream cheese – The full-fat cream cheese block results in the creamiest consistency and richest flavor.
- Soften the cream cheese – Cold cream cheese will not easily combine with the other ingredients. Make sure to allow plenty of time for it to soften before mixing your dip.
- Drain the pineapple – Excessive moisture from the pineapple will lead to a watery dip and an imbalance of flavor. To achieve the best results, thoroughly drain the pineapple. You can do this by draining from the can or use a colander or sieve to remove the juice completely.
- Thinly slice the spring onion – Spring onion has a potent flavor. Ensure that you slice it thinly so that it can be evenly distributed throughout the dip.
Culinary Short Cuts
If you want to prepare this recipe, but are especially limited on time, here are some ideas that can help expedite this recipe!
- Soften the fromage blanc in advance – Feeling anxious about quickly softening the fromage blanc is not the way to go. Get a jump start by setting the fromage blanc out on the counter beforehand.
- Prepare it in advance – This ananas dip can be prepared a day in advance and stored in the fridge. That way it’s ready to go when it’s time to serve it.
Variations de la Recette
If you adore this recipe as much as we do and want some swift ways to alter it for variety, these little tips will do the trick!
- Fromage Blanc Dip with Pineapple and Green Pepper – Make the dip as instructed, but stir in a handful of finely chopped green pepper to add some extra crispness.
- Ananas Jalapeño Dip – Give your fromage blanc dip a kick of heat with finely diced jalapeño. You can use fresh or canned jalapeño. If it’s canned, be sure to drain it first!
- Ananas Fromage Blanc Dip with Pecans – Simply switch the sliced almonds out for chopped pecans. That nutty crunch with a slightly different flavor.
- Ananas Fromage Blanc and Ham Dip – Add a scoop of cooked, chopped ham to give it a savory flavor twist.

Recettes à Base de Restes
