Deer meatloaf is a simple recipe. Nowadays, the term venison is used to refer to the flesh of a deer or antelope. Venison has an earthly taste. It is not as moist as beef but is more compact.
Venison has a higher protein content than any other red meat. Since it is not farmed, venison does not contain as many antibiotics or steroids as some of the beef sold today. Adding to its array of wellness benefits, venison is low in fat and cholesterol. It is also rich in nutrients such as B vitamins, iron, and phosphorus.
To prepare Deer meatloaf, combine the venison with biscuits, an egg, sugar, and seasonings. Pour this blend into a loaf pan and bake for approximately 40 minutes. In a bowl, mix ketchup and brown sugar. Remove the meatloaf from the oven and spread the ketchup mix over it. Bake for an additional 10 minutes. Take it out and serve.
This is just a glimpse of the recipe. The complete recipe is provided below. There are also additional main course dishes on our blog that you should explore as well.
