    The formula I will share originates from Punjabi cooking. I am referring to black garbanzo. It is a wholesome dish. Black garbanzo is prepared with spices, tomatoes, onions, ginger, garlic, and chilies.

    This recipe is ideal for vegetarians seeking to include some protein in their diet. Black garbanzo serves this role perfectly. They contain abundant protein and fiber and can stand as a full meal by themselves. Due to their low caloric content, they are also recommended for individuals with diabetes. It is a straightforward yet nutritious meal.

    To create black garbanzo, warm oil and sauté all the spices. Include onions, green chili, and ginger-garlic paste and sauté. Introduce tomatoes, salt, turmeric, coriander powder, mango powder, and red chili powder. Next, add soaked black garbanzo and stir-fry. Pour in 3 cups of water and blend. Cook for 8 whistles.     Steps To Create Black Garbanzo

    1. Take a pressure cooker and heat 3 teaspoons of oil in it. Sauté asafoetida, cumin, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf, cardamom, and dry fenugreek leaves.
    2. Add onions, green chili, and ginger garlic paste and sauté until the aroma dissipates. Mix in the tomatoes and cook until they become mushy and tender.
    3. Include salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, mango powder, and red chili powder and cook on low heat until the tomatoes ooze oil.
    4. Then, fold in the soaked black garbanzo and sauté for 1 minute.
    5. Add 3 cups of water and blend thoroughly. Cover and cook for 8 whistles or until the black garbanzo softens.
    6. Season with garam masala, coriander, and stir well.
    7. Serve while hot.
