For me, preparing meals has always been a way to relax and find happiness. Mexican lentils are one of the dishes I enjoy making. Today, I’ll present to you the lentils recipe.
Another term for this dish is lentil soup. Lentils are edible pulses known for their lens-shaped seeds. They grow in pods, with two seeds per pod. The main producers of lentils are India and Canada, accounting for 58% of the world’s total lentil production.
To prepare lentils, combine lentils, white onion, garlic, and water in a large pot. Bring it to a boil and let it cook for a while. Remove the lentils and season them with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a pan. Saute the bacon bits, onions, garlic, and spices. Additionally, incorporate pineapple, plantain, and tomatoes. Cook until it thickens, then serve.
